Theodore R. Timm

Practice

Mr. Timm is a founding member and Partner of the law firm of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC.  Prior to the formation of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC, Mr. Timm was a partner at Grobart & Levick, LLC where he concentrated on corporate and business law, commercial real estate, land use and development.  Prior to joining Grobart & Levick, LLC, Mr. Timm was General Counsel at Spence Group Services Inc., a large and successful Burger King franchisee, where he negotiated and handled all corporate and real estate matters for the company.

Prior to his affiliation with Spence Group Services Inc., Mr. Timm spent thirteen years as General Counsel & Vice President for DoALL Company and its related companies, one of the largest distributors of industrial supplies in the United States and manufacturer of metal working products.  Mr. Timm was responsible for all legal issues involved in the organization.  Prior to his work for DoALL Company, Mr. Timm was an Associate responsible for commercial and corporate transactional work at the Chicago law firm of Levin & Ginsburg.

Mr. Timm’s principal area of concentration include corporate, contracts business law, commercial real estate leasing and development.

Education

Mr. Timm received his undergraduate degree from DePaul University, where he graduated with high honor with a B.S.C. in Management and Marketing.  He received his Juris Doctor with honor from DePaul University, where he was awarded the American Juris Prudence Award for outstanding academic achievement in both Contracts and Business Organizations.

Glenn T. Garfinkel

Practice

Mr. Garfinkel is a founding member and Partner of the law firm of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC.  Prior to the formation of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC, Mr. Garfinkel was a partner at Grobart & Levick, LLC, where he concentrated on commercial real estate development and leasing, construction, acquisitions and dispositions, general contracts and business law.  Prior to joining Grobart & Levick, LLC, Mr. Garfinkel was Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Crown Theatres, L.P., a prominent motion picture exhibitor with theatres located in the States of Connecticut, New York, Maryland, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota and Nevada.  In addition to his operating responsibilities, Mr. Garfinkel handled all legal and real estate matters for the company.

Mr. Garfinkel began his legal career and went on to become a partner at Gould & Ratner, located in Chicago.

Mr. Garfinkel’s principal areas of concentration include commercial real estate development and leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, construction, general contracts and business law.

Education

Mr. Garfinkel received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, IL, with a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, and a Juris Doctor degree from Washington University Law School in St. Louis, Missouri.

Bruce D. Goodman

Practice

Mr. Goodman is a Partner of the law firm of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC.  Mr. Goodman has been in the private practice of law since 1979.  Prior to the formation of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC, Mr. Goodman was a partner at Grobart & Levick, LLC.  He was also formerly a partner at a large Chicago law firm, and a real estate boutique firm in Chicago. While practicing in Chicago, Mr. Goodman was an adjunct professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law.   He is now a frequent presenter at continuing legal education programs. He also works with the Illinois Supreme Court Commission of Professionalism.

Mr. Goodman’s principal areas of concentration include commercial real estate, land use and development, business law, and estate planning.

Education

Mr. Goodman received his bachelor’s degree with high honors from Princeton University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree from Stanford Law School, where he worked for the late California Supreme Court Justice Mathew O. Tobriner, and where he was a research assistant for Professor William Gould.

Daniel R. Paulsen

Practice

Mr. Paulsen is a Partner of the law firm of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC.  Prior to the formation of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC, Mr. Paulsen was an associate at Grobart & Levick, LLC, where he concentrated on commercial real estate law.  Prior to joining Grobart & Levick, LLC, Mr. Paulsen was an associate at the Chicago office of Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP, where he represented clients in commercial real estate matters, lending transactions, land use issues and property taxation.  Prior to his affiliation with Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP, Mr. Paulsen worked in the electric power industry, first for Commonwealth Edison Company and then for Midwest Generation EME, LLC.  At both companies, Mr. Paulsen was responsible for a wide range of environmental compliance and permitting issues.

Mr. Paulsen’s principal areas of concentration include commercial real estate law, and land use.

Education

Mr. Paulsen received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Masters in Environmental Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.  He received his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law where he graduated with high honors and was an Executive Articles Editor of the Chicago-Kent Law Review.

Thomas R. Reidenbach

Practice

Mr. Reidenbach is a Senior Counsel with the law firm of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC.

Prior to joining Timm & Garfinkel, LLC, Mr. Reidenbach was General Counsel for First Midwest Group, Inc. (formerly First Rockford Group, Inc.), where he handled commercial real estate leasing, acquisitions and sales, as well as legal matters for real estate development, construction, senior housing, self-storage, warehouse, restaurant, hospitality and gaming companies.

Prior to his affiliation with First Midwest Group, Inc., Mr. Reidenbach spent over ten years as General Counsel and Vice President for Rubloff Development Group, Inc., where he handled legal and real estate matters related to the acquisition, development, redevelopment, zoning, financing, leasing, subleasing, construction, management, operation, workout and sale of enclosed malls, shopping centers, outlots, and mixed use, office, medical, industrial, warehouse, condominium, single family and multifamily projects. Prior to Rubloff Development Group, Inc., Mr. Reidenbach was a partner with Hinshaw and Culbertson LLP, where he represented clients in commercial real estate development, leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and commercial litigation.

Mr. Reidenbach’s principal areas of concentration include commercial real estate leasing, acquisitions, sales, development, financing, construction, and general real estate matters.

Mr. Reidenbach received his undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and a Juris Doctor and master’s degree in Real Estate Appraisal and Investment Analysis from the University of Wisconsin.

Craig S. Krandel

Practice

Prior to joining Timm & Garfinkel, LLC, as of counsel, Mr. Krandel was a principal and in –house counsel at Centerville Properties, Ltd., where he handled the legal activities of the company for its existing portfolio of shopping centers and office buildings as well as the entitlement and development of new projects.  Prior to Centerville Properties, Mr. Krandel was a partner in the firm of Weisz, Michling, Hofmann in Woodstock, Illinois, focusing on real estate transactional and development/entitlement, small corporate, and work.

Mr. Krandel’s principal areas of concentration include commercial real estate law, partnerships, joint ventures, real estate litigation, and contract/transactional law.

Education

Mr. Krandel received his Juris Doctor from the DePaul University College of Law, and undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.

William A. Montgomery

Practice

Prior to his affiliation with Timm & Garfinkel, LLC, as of counsel, Mr. Montgomery was a Senior Attorney with Walgreens.  As in house counsel Mr. Montgomery handled the company’s commercial real estate acquisitions, leasing, contracts, general corporate and civil litigation.  Prior to Walgreens, Mr. Montgomery was an Associate with the law firm Lewis, Rice and Fingersh in St. Louis, MO  focusing on estate planning, corporate and real estate work. Mr. Montgomery also has extensive real estate development experience and experience working with Walgreens and Edgemark as a Site Acquisition Specialist.

Mr. Montgomery’s principal areas of concentration include commercial and residential real estate, land use, development, general contracts, foreclosure, eviction, wills and trust, domestic relations and civil litigation.

Education

Mr. Montgomery received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Furman University and a Juris Doctor from Washington University Law School in St. Louis, MO where he was an associate editor of the law review.
