Theodore R. Timm– Mr. Timm is a founding member and Partner of the law firm of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC.  Prior to the formation of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC, Mr. Timm was a Partner at Grobart & Levick, LLC where he concentrated on corporate and business law, commercial real estate, land use and development. Prior to joining Grobart & Levick, LLC, Mr. Timm was General Counsel at Spence Group Services Inc., one of the largest and most successful franchisees of Burger King Corporation, where he negotiated and handled all corporate and real estate matters for the company. 

Prior to his affiliation with Spence Group Services Inc., Mr. Timm spent thirteen years as General Counsel & Vice President for DoALL Company, one of the largest distributors of industrial supplies in the United States .  Mr. Timm was responsible for all legal issues involved in the organization.  Prior to his work for DoALL Company, Mr. Timm was an Associate responsible for commercial and corporate transactional work at the Chicago law firm of Levin & Ginsburg.  Mr. Timm received his undergraduate degree from DePaul University , where he graduated with high honor with a B.S.C. in Management and Marketing.  He received his Juris Doctor with honor from DePaul University , where he won awards in Contracts and Business Organizations.  He is admitted to practice law in the States of Illinois and Wisconsin .

Mr. Timm’s principal areas of concentration include corporate and business law, commercial real estate, land use, development and general contracts law.

Glenn T. Garfinkel– Mr. Garfinkel is a founding member and Partner of the law firm of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC.  Prior to the formation of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC, Mr. Garfinkel was a Partner at Grobart & Levick, LLC, where he concentrated on commercial real estate development and leasing, construction, acquisitions and dispositions, general contracts and business law. Prior to joining Grobart & Levick, LLC, Mr. Garfinkel was Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Crown Theatres, L.P., a prominent motion picture exhibitor with theatres located in the States of Connecticut, New York, Maryland, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota and Nevada. In addition to his operating responsibilities, Mr. Garfinkel handled all legal matters for the company, including real estate and other transactions, and construction and operating negotiations, documentation and implementation. 

Mr. Garfinkel was also formerly a Partner of Gould & Ratner, located in Chicago , where his primary practice was leasing, real estate development and ownership, purchase and dispositions, mergers and acquisitions, and construction matters.  Mr. Garfinkel received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, IL, with a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, and a Juris Doctor degree from Washington University Law School in St. Louis, MO. He is admitted to practice law in the States of Illinois and Connecticut .

Mr. Garfinkel’s principal areas of concentration include commercial real estate development and leasing, construction, acquisitions and dispositions, general contracts and business law.

Bruce D. Goodman– Mr. Goodman is a Partner of the law firm of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC.  Prior to the formation of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC, Mr. Goodman was a Partner at Grobart & Levick, LLC, concentrating on commercial real estate law, land use and development, and general contracts and business law.  Prior to joining Grobart & Levick, LLC, Mr. Goodman was a Partner at Kritzer & Levick, P.C., where he handled complex commercial real estate development, leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, and land use matters.  He represents corporations and institutions in complex real estate development transactions, and has extensive experience in leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, and land use. 

Mr. Goodman was also formerly a Partner in the Real Estate Department of Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg, and in the real estate boutique law firm of Nagelberg & Resnick, each located in Chicago .  Mr. Goodman received his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, where he graduated with high honors in Political Science, and a Juris Doctor degree from Stanford University, where he worked for Justice Mathew O. Tobriner of the California Supreme Court.  He is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois .

Daniel R. Paulsen– Mr. Paulsen is a Partner of the law firm of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC. Prior to the formation of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC, Mr. Paulsen was an Associate at Grobart & Levick, LLC, where he concentrated on commercial real estate law, land use and environmental law.  Prior to joining Grobart & Levick, LLC, Mr. Paulsen was an Associate at the Chicago office of Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP, where he represented clients in commercial real estate matters, lending transactions, land use issues and property taxation. Prior to his affiliation with Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP, Mr. Paulsen worked in the electric power industry, first for Commonwealth Edison Company and then for Midwest Generation EME, LLC. At both companies, Mr. Paulsen was responsible for a wide range of environmental compliance and permitting issues. 

Mr. Paulsen received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois  at Urbana-Champaign and a Masters in Environmental Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He received his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he graduated with high honors and was an Executive Articles Editor of the Chicago-Kent Law Review. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois .

Seth L. Halpern– Prior to the formation of Timm & Garfinkel, LLC, Mr. Halpern was an Associate at Grobart & Levick, LLC, where he concentrated on corporate and business law, commercial real estate and general contracts law. Prior to joining Grobart & Levick, LLC, Mr. Halpern was an Associate responsible for commercial and real estate litigation matters at the Chicago law firm of Sorman & Frankel, Ltd.  Mr. Halpern received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana , IL , with a degree in Political Science, and received his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois .

Craig S. Krandel – Prior to joining Timm & Garfinkel, LLC, as of counsel, Mr. Krandel was a principal and in-house counsel at Centerville Properties, Ltd., where he handled the legal activities of the company for its existing portfolio of shopping centers and office buildings as well as the entitlement and development of new projects. Prior to Centerville Properties, Mr. Krandel was a partner in the firm of Weisz, Michling, Hofmann in Woodstock, Illinois, focusing on real estate transactional and development/entitlement, small corporate, and work.

Mr. Krandel received Juris Doctor from the DePaul University College of Law, and undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and is licensed as a commercial real estate broker in Illinois.

Mr. Krandel's principal areas of concentration include commercial real estate law, partnerships, joint ventures, real estate litigation, and contract/transactional law.

Frank Natanek – Prior to joining Timm & Garfinkel, LLC, as of counsel, Mr. Natanek was Group President of Leasing at Cullinan Properties, Ltd., where he managed the leasing and legal activities of the company for its existing portfolio of shopping centers and office buildings as well as its new real estate developments. Prior to Cullinan Properties, Mr. Natanek was Vice President of Leasing at the Inland Western Real Estate Trust, Inc. where he developed the leasing and legal functions of the REIT from its earliest stages and managed these operations for the entire portfolio of 50 million square feet of retail and office properties. Mr. Natanek began his legal career with the firm of Altheimer & Gray in Chicago, Illinois, focusing on corporate, securities and real estate law.

Mr. Natanek received an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, with honors. He received his Juris Doctor from the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, with honors. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and is licensed as a commercial real estate broker in Illinois.

Mr. Natanek's principal areas of concentration include commercial real estate law, partnerships, joint ventures, and contract law.

Ivy M. Binder – Prior to joining Timm & Garfinkel, LLC, Ms. Binder was an Associate at Schain, Burney, Ross & Citron, Ltd., a mid-size firm in downtown Chicago with a national practice predominately focused on commercial real estate law. Ms. Binder represented high profile national retailers in their commercial real estate transactions and represented a number of developers involved in residential and commercial real estate development projects throughout the nation. Ms. Binder has worked with Black & Veatch Corporation, a global consulting company specializing in infrastructure development in telecommunications as an Assistant Project Manager, managing the Real Estate and Facilities Team. She also has experience working with T-Mobile USA, Inc. as a Site Acquisition Specialist.

Ms. Binder received a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor degree from Michigan State College of Law. She also received an LL.M. in real estate from John Marshall Law School with honors. Ms. Binder is admitted to practice law in the States of Illinois and Florida.

Ms. Binder’s principal areas of concentration include commercial real estate law, telecommunications, general contracts and business law.
